This error occurs if there was a problem building the specified project file in order to obtain reference link information.

This is a generic, catch-all error. Load the indicated project and build it by itself to see if you can locate the cause of the problem. If it works by itself, look in the .\Working folder under the build folder of the project that uses it in the plug-in. You will find a build subfolder for it containing a log file. Review it to see if it can help you locate the cause of the error. If you are unable to resolve the issue, open a work item in the Sandcastle Help File Builder project at CodePlex containing the details from the error message and attach a small example project with any related files that can be used to duplicate the problem.
